Baird Hires Skulski as Director of Program Trading

Addition Underscores Growth of Baird’s Institutional Equity Services Platform

Emil SkulskiBaird, an employee-owned international financial services firm and one of the FORTUNE 100 Best Companies to Work For®, is pleased to announce it has hired Emil Skulski, as Director of Program Trading. Skulski, formerly Vice President of Equity and Program Trading at J.P. Morgan Investment Management, oversees Baird’s program trading desk, and will help to broaden Baird’s Institutional Equity Services execution platform. Baird’s Institutional Equity Services team serves more than 900 institutional investors across North America, Europe, Asia and Australia.

Skulski joins Baird with 20 years of industry experience, and is based in the firm’s Stamford, Conn. office. Previously, he was responsible for J.P. Morgan Investment Management’s U.S. and Canadian Program Trading, REIT Portfolio Trading, equity sector trading and managed foreign and domestic index futures trading. Prior to that, Skulski was with ITG, Inc. developing portfolio trading strategies for institutional clients. Skulski earned his Bachelor’s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University and his MBA from The College of William and Mary.

Skulski’s appointment underscores the continued growth of Baird’s Institutional Equity Services business, which posted its 15th consecutive year of record revenues in 2009, despite the turbulent market environment. Other highlights over the past year include the opening of a new, state-of-the-art trading floor, hiring Peter Gunderson as head of Principal Trading, and expanding the team with multiple Institutional traders and brokers in both the U.S. and Europe.
