MILWAUKEE – June 24, 2024 – Today, employee-owned Baird shared results from its annual Baird Gives Back Event. This year, associates donated nearly 6,500 volunteer hours over the week-long event to help support nearly 200 non-profit organizations across the firm’s global footprint.

In May, nearly 1,900 volunteers from over 105 Baird offices in cities such as Milwaukee, Pittsburgh, London Seattle, Louisville, Frankfurt, Anchorage and many more participated in the firmwide event that launched 15 years ago. Associates helped with community-bettering projects, such as cleaning up parks, riverbeds and gardens, packing diapers and menstrual products for mothers in need, reading to children, preparing and delivering food to those in need and more.

2024 was a significant milestone year for Baird Gives Back; 15 years of this celebrated annual event is a remarkable feat. Our community-focused efforts have been around since Baird’s founding in 1919, and I’m proud to help carry on the legacy of our former CEOs, all of whom have been passionate about giving back to the communities in which Baird associates live and work.

Steve Booth, Baird Chairman & CEO

The event is organized each year by the Baird Gives Back Associate Resource Group (ARG), which is comprised of Baird associates who share a passion for volunteering. The ARG's mission is to broaden and deepen associates' involvement in volunteer opportunities, career networking and advancement activities in their local communities. This dedication is a tradition built through the efforts of Baird Foundation, the firm as a whole and the community involvement of Baird associates.

“It’s moving to see the time our associates set aside for volunteer activities each year,” said Cortney Wianecki, Chair of the Baird Gives Back ARG. “Importantly, the relationships formed and strengthened within our communities and across our Baird business units play a significant role in maintaining the firm’s culture.”

“We are lucky to play a role within the Baird Gives Back ARG that upholds one of Baird’s core values – volunteering and community giving,” said Ellie O’Neil, Wianecki’s Vice Chair. “Baird associates see such value in supporting the areas where we live and work, and we are grateful for that commitment across the firm from the Baird family.”
