MILWAUKEE – June 14, 2022 – Today, employee-owned Baird shared results from its annual Baird Gives Back Event. This year, associates donated nearly 6,000 volunteer hours over the week-long event to help support more than 120 non-profit organizations across the firm’s global footprint.

From May 16-21, more than 1,800 volunteers from over 90 Baird offices in cities such as Milwaukee, Louisville, Frankfurt, Denver, Sarasota, London, Tysons Corner and many more participated in the firmwide event that launched 13 years ago. Associates helped with community-bettering projects, such as preparing and serving food, tutoring and mentoring students, walking and playing with shelter animals, working with seniors and cleaning up parks, riverbeds, gardens, and more.

“Baird Gives Back continues to exemplify the deep devotion Baird associates have to their communities,” said Steve Booth, Baird Chairman & CEO. “Whether it’s doing an outdoor cleanup at Urban Ecology Center, reading to kids at United Community Center, or painting houses with Habitat for Humanity like this year, I look forward to all the creative and thoughtful options the ARG curates for our associates to give back.”

The event is organized each year by the Baird Gives Back Associate Resource Group (ARG), which is comprised of Baird associates who share a passion for volunteering. The ARG's mission is to broaden and deepen associates' involvement in volunteer opportunities, career networking and advancement activities in their local communities. This dedication is a tradition built through the efforts of Baird Foundation, the firm as a whole and the community involvement of Baird associates.

"Baird's commitment to the communities in which its associates live and work is core to our culture and brand,” said Lacey Falk, Baird Gives Back Chair. “Simply put, Baird wouldn't have the culture we have today without it. Everyone who plays a part in organizing and coordinating the event is doing this on top of our day jobs, which we wouldn't do if we didn't really love it."

"Baird Gives Back week is the perfect example of what makes the firm such a special place to work,” said Rachel Berkowitz, Falk’s Vice Chair. “Our associates deeply and genuinely care about giving back to their communities, and Baird gives us the tools to do so. Plus, it's expected that this mindset of servitude extends outside of a single week - you see those Baird-blue t-shirts popping up year-round, and that's what it's all about.”
