Regal Beloit Corporation (“Regal”) (NYSE: RBC) recently acquired the Power Transmission Solutions business (“PTS”) of Emerson Electric Company (“Emerson”) (NYSE: EMR) for $1.44 billion comprised of $1.4 billion in cash plus $40 million of assumed liabilities.PTS designs, manufactures and services bearings, couplings, gearing, drive components and conveyer systems for material handling, metals, energy, beverage, HVAC, aerospace and other general industrial applications. Its brands include Browning®, Jaure®, Kop-Flex®, McGill®, Morse®, Rollway®, Sealmaster® and System Plast™. PTS is headquartered in Florence, Kentucky and operates on three continents serving customers in more than 65 countries throughout the world.
