Arcano and Baird Form Alliance Focused on Advising Global M&A Deals
Madrid / Chicago, 11 January 2023 - Arcano Partners, an independent financial advisory and asset management firm based in Spain, and Baird, an employee-owned international wealth management, asset management, investment banking/capital markets, and private equity firm, have formed an international alliance focused on advising on global M&A deals. The alliance will enhance each bank’s respective M&A offerings by leveraging the firms’ combined geographic presence, client relationships and industry expertise.
Deep industry expertise and advisory acumen are core differentiators of both Arcano and Baird’s investment banking platforms. Additionally, through the alliance Baird’s investment banking clients will gain access to Arcano’s local presence in Spain and Portugal, on-the-ground execution capabilities and knowledge of potential buyers and sellers in Iberia.
Arcano Partners’ investment banking unit has been the top M&A advisor in Spain, based on number of deals, in 2021 and 2022. Arcano advised on 28 deals in 2022, including the sale of IVI-RMA to KKR, the chain of bakeries Turris to Realza Capital, Zummo to Groupe Seb, Vetsum to Anicura, and Dorsia to Peninsula. In the area of acquisitions, Arcano supported the pan-European fund Ergon in the acquisition of 360º Padel Group, the French fund Capza in its investment in La Finca, Ayesa in the acquisitions of Ibermática and M2C, and Charme and Miura in the purchase of Indiba, among others.

We are convinced that, with Baird, we will continue to expand our leadership position in the market."
Coming off a historic 2021, Baird’s Global Investment Banking business achieved its second-best revenue year in 2022. Over 2021 and 2022, the business executed 560 transactions, worth a combined $230 billion. The business continues making significant investments in its platform, including adding and enhancing vertical coverage in key sectors, bolstering its presence in Europe, expanding its Capital Advisory and Restructuring Advisory teams, and recently announcing a new Global GP Solutions offering for its extensive financial sponsor client community across the globe.
