  • What is a typical day like?

    I would summarize it as running the business: strategic planning, recruiting, career pathing with associates, financial oversight, integration with partners across the firm and leading special projects. Each day can be unpredictable, which keeps me on my toes!

  • What advice would you share with young women starting their career?

    Anything is possible if you work hard. Ask good questions and learn from the people around you. Invest in yourself, be it through professional development, mentoring or coaching, and have confidence in the value you bring to the table.

  • When you began your career, did you ever imagine that you would be a leader in a male-dominated profession?

    Not exactly. When I first started, my goal was to work hard, learn as much as I could about the business and ultimately add value to my team and firm. I’m fortunate to work at a firm that values hard work and delivering good results.

  • Who inspires you, and why?

    I get inspiration from so many people each day! I’ve been blessed to be surrounded by so many mentors who have inspired my career path. At Baird, I see many female leaders in incredibly important roles who are thoughtful, humble and extremely dedicated to the business and the community. I’m proud to call them colleagues and friends.

  • What do you do to achieve work/life balance in your own life?

    I try to be intentional about how I spend my time and prioritize the things that matter to me most, like dinner with my husband and three boys. It’s a cliché, but I really try not to sweat the small stuff.
