St. Matthews Imports acquired by Joe Hudson's Collision Centers

ABOUT THE TRANSACTION:
St. Matthews Imports (“SMI”), a Louisville, KY-based multi-location collision repair center, is pleased to announce its sale to Joe Hudson’s Collision Centers (“Joe Hudson’s”), a portfolio company of Carousel Capital. Baird Business Owner Solutions served as financial advisor to the owners of SMI in its sale to Joe Hudson’s.

Founded in 1969 and currently managed by second-generation family ownership, SMI is a premier provider of automotive collision repair services in Louisville, KY and the surrounding region. Joe Hudson’s Collision Center, based in Birmingham, AL, is a leading provider of automotive collision repair services in the Southeastern United States with more than 75 locations in seven states. The SMI acquisition represents a geographic expansion of the Joe Hudson’s footprint into Kentucky.

Business Owner Solutions worked directly with the owners to identify potential acquirers of the business. After discussions with several interested parties, Joe Hudson’s Collision Centers emerged as the best buyer, providing liquidity for the family-owners while preserving company culture and securing meaningful future opportunities for SMI’s experienced and knowledgeable employees.
