Brian joined Baird in April of 2010 after a 31-year career in municipal government finance. He began his government finance career with the City of Green Bay in February of 1979 as a Senior Accountant. In July of 1986, he became the Assistant Finance Director for the City of Green Bay and held that position for 13 years until accepting the Finance Director/Treasurer position with the City of Manitowoc in 1999 and holding that position until the completion of his government career in April 2010. Brian holds an honorary membership with the Wisconsin Government Finance Officers Association and a lifetime membership with the Municipal Treasurer’s Association of Wisconsin. Brian works with all levels of local units of government in developing customized, cost-efficient financing plans that meet the specific needs of each entity in the primary areas of long-term debt management, budgeting, long-term capital improvement planning, and tax incremental financing. Brian has his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay. In addition, he is a graduate of the Advanced Government Finance Institute at the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
