Peter Kies is a Managing Director in Baird’s Global Investment Banking business where he is the Co-Head of Equity Capital Markets (ECM) and Head of Global Technology & Services Investment Banking. Professional Experience & Education

In his 30+ years at Baird, Peter has held several leadership positions, including Chairman of the Investment Banking and firm-wide Recruiting Committees, member of the Investment Committee of the Baird Venture Fund and a Director of the Baird Foundation. He has built and led several investment banking industry teams and has extensive experience in originating and executing M&A and equity transactions across a wide range of industries.

Prior to joining Baird in 1992, Peter was a Director of Investments for The Equitable and on the staff of Governor Tommy Thompson.

Outside the Office

Peter is a member of the University of Wisconsin Foundation Board of Directors and a member of the Board of Trustees at the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
