Matthew Tingler is a Director in Baird’s Consumer Investment Banking practice where he focuses on equity offerings, mergers and acquisitions and other financial advisory services with a focus on the apparel and footwear, sporting goods and fitness, health and wellness, and outdoor recreation sectors. Since joining Baird in July 2009, Matthew has advised on several transactions, including the sale of Augusta Sportswear to Kelso & Company, the sale of Implus Corporation to Trilantic Capital Partners and the sale of Strategic Partners to BAML Capital Partners, as well as the initial public offerings of Ignite Restaurant Group and Chuy’s. Prior to joining Baird, Matthew was an Associate in Merrill Lynch’s Mergers & Acquisition Investment Banking practice. Previously he was an Associate in Citigroup’s Equity Research practice and a Manager in Ernst & Young’s Corporate Finance practice where he performed valuation, M&A due diligence and restructuring assignments.
Matthew received an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Marketing with high honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder through the CFA Institute.
