Terrance Maxwell, Executive Committee Member, Managing Director

Terry Maxwell is a member of Baird’s Executive Committee and Board of Directors. Terry served as Baird’s Chief Financial Officer for 11 years before retiring from the role at the end of March 2026. Terry interned at Baird in 1981 and joined Baird full-time in 1986, eventually becoming Head of Investment Banking. He left Baird in 2006 to pursue an academic career as a corporate finance lecturer at the University of Wisconsin – Madison and to pursue private investment interests. He rejoined Baird in 2014.

Terry received an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a Bachelor of Science in economics from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
