GI Partners single asset continuation vehicle for Flexential

Summary

GI Partners ("GI" or the “Sponsor”) closed a single asset continuation fund for Flexential (the “Company”). The transaction continues GI’s ownership of the Company and reaffirms its commitment to support Flexential’s long-term growth strategy while providing an attractive liquidity option to existing investors. The new capital will accelerate Flexential’s development of next-generation data centers and strengthen its high-density colocation presence across the United States. Together with the November 2024 investment by funds managed by Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners (MSIP), Flexential has now raised approximately $1 billion of primary equity to fund the development of its data center pipeline.

The transaction was anchored by funds managed by Hamilton Lane (Nasdaq: HLNE) and included a strategic investment from GI Data Infrastructure. The new GI continuation fund provides Flexential with additional equity capital to meet rising demand from enterprise and AI customers.
