DTiQ, investment from Digital Alpha for majority stake from BV and shareholders


DTiQ Technologies (“DTiQ”) received a $200 million investment from Digital Alpha Advisors, LLC (“Digital Alpha”) to acquire a majority stake from BV Investment Partners (“BV”) and other shareholders.

Baird served as the exclusive financial advisor to DTiQ Technologies on this transaction.


DTiQ is the leading provider of cloud-based video intelligence, analytics and managed solutions for operators within the restaurant, convenience store and specialty retail industries. DTiQ has rapidly grown to be the leader in its space, with over 45,000 locations supported on its platform, including corporations and/or franchisees such as Adidas, Burger King, Dairy Queen, Golf Town, McDonald’s, Subway, Swarovski, Taco Bell, Vineyard Vines and Yankee Candle, among others. DTiQ combines video technologies, point of sale and video analytics to improve how restaurants, convenience stores and retail locations are managed. DTiQ’s solutions impact over 8 million consumer experiences daily, while protecting trillions of dollars of assets. DTiQ was founded in 1998 and is based in Framingham, Massachusetts.

BV is one of the oldest and most experienced sector-focused private equity firms in North America. Since its founding in 1983, the firm has invested approximately $4.2 billion, actively targeting investments in the tech-enabled business services, software, and IT services industries. BV is based in Boston, Massachusetts.

Digital Alpha is an investment firm focused on digital infrastructure and services required by the digital economy with total assets under management of over $1.5 billion. Digital Alpha has a strategic collaboration agreement with Cisco Systems, Inc. In addition, Digital Alpha has cultivated strategic partnerships with other Silicon Valley technology leaders, with whom it has already executed deals. Digital Alpha was founded in 2016 and is based in Henderson, Nevada.
