WESTFALIA-Automotive Holding GmbH (“Westfalia-Automotive”) and TEIJs Holding B.V. (“TERWA”), collectively referred to as the Westfalia Group (“Westfalia”), a portfolio company of Parcom Deutschland I GmbH & Co. KG (“Parcom”), a fund advised by Deutsche Private Equity GmbH (“DPE”), was recently acquired by Horizon Global Corporation (“Horizon Global”) (NYSE:HZN) for a consideration comprised of cash and newly issued Horizon Global shares, valued at €167 million at the time of the announcement of the transaction. With a 10% shareholding in Horizon Global, DPE will become the largest shareholder of Horizon Global.

Westfalia is the inventor of the European ball tow bar and has been manufacturing and marketing high-quality branded towing products since 1932. Westfalia operates facilities in 11 countries and offers more than 1,700 different types of tow bars. Holding approximately 100 tow bar patents and more than 30 transport system patents, Westfalia is headquartered in Rheda-Wiedenbrück, Germany.

DPE focuses on mid-sized companies in the DACH region. Founded in 2007, it has invested in more than 18 companies with an asset base of €600 million. DPE is an independent investment company headquartered in Munich, Germany.

Horizon Global is a manufacturer and distributor of a wide variety of high-quality, custom engineered towing, trailering and cargo management. Horizon Global employs approximately 2,700 people at more than 20 facilities in 10 countries. Horizon Global is headquartered in Troy, Michigan.
