AB SKF (“SKF”) completed the sale of its Kaydon Velocity Control Business (the “Company”) to Stabilus S.A. (“Stabilus”). Total consideration for the Kaydon Velocity Control Business is $339 million, on a cash- and debt-free basis.The Kaydon Velocity Control Business, which includes the ACE, Hahn Gasfedern, Fabreeka and TechProducts brands, designs and manufactures motion, automation and vibration control solutions. The Company’s extensive portfolio of industrial gas springs, shock absorbers and vibration control products serve a diverse mix of industrial end markets. The Company is headquartered in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
SKF is a leading global supplier of bearings, seals, mechatronics, lubrication systems, and services which include technical support, maintenance and reliability services, engineering consulting and training. SKF is represented in more than 130 countries and has around 17,000 distributor locations worldwide.
Stabilus develops and produces gas springs and dampers for automotive and industrial markets. The company has its operational headquarters in Koblenz, Germany.
