Acquisition of Human Capital Investment Group

AboutGraphite Capital (“Graphite”) recently acquired Human Capital Investment Group (“HCIG” or the “Company”) by way of a management buy-out. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
HCIG is a fast growing, diversified recruitment company serving a range of specialist areas within the public and private sectors in the United Kingdom. Its leading brands include Eden Brown, Caritas, Synergy, Proactive, ewi, Retinue and Resourcing Group, which are focused on the health and social care, social housing, construction and infrastructure, and engineering sectors. Founded in 2007, HCIG has expanded rapidly through a combination of acquisitions and new brand launches. The Company has 14 offices in the United Kingdom and employs 510 staff. HCIG is headquartered in London.
Graphite was established 33 years ago and is one of the United Kingdom’s leading mid-market private equity firms with over £1.4 billion of funds under management. It manages both direct investments in portfolio companies and private equity fund investments. Direct investments are predominantly made from Graphite’s eighth fund of £500 million, which was raised last year from a global investor base. The focus of direct investments is on UK mid-market buy-outs of companies valued at between £25 million and £200 million across a range of industry sectors. Graphite is also headquartered in London.
