About

Midland Container Corporation (“Midland”) and Great Lakes Packaging Corporation (“Great Lakes”), portfolio companies of Arbor Investments (“Arbor”), were recently acquired by Green Bay Packaging Inc. (“Green Bay Packaging”). Midland and Great Lakes were owned through MidCon Holdings, LLC (“MidCon”). Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

MidCon was established by Arbor Investments in 2008 to complete the purchase of Midland. In December 2011, MidCon purchased Great Lakes and formally put the two companies together to form one of the top independent Wisconsin-based manufacturers in the corrugated industry. The companies manufacture high-quality custom point of purchase, point of sale corrugated displays and corrugated packaging. Focusing on customers primarily in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois, the companies serve the consumer products industry and the greater food and beverage industries throughout the upper Midwest. Midland is headquartered in Franksville, Wisconsin and Great Lakes is headquartered in Germantown, Wisconsin.

Arbor is a specialized private equity firm that focuses exclusively on acquiring companies in the food, beverage and related industries. The firm has acquired or invested in over 37 food, beverage and related companies in North America. Arbor is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois.

Green Bay Packaging is a family-owned, vertically integrated company consisting of corrugated container plants, folding cartons, recycled and virgin linerboard mills, pressure-sensitive label rollstock, specialty converting operations, timberlands and a sawmill facility. Green Bay Packaging is dedicated to innovative development of its products and forestry resources, with a focus on quality, sustainability and continuous improvement throughout all of its manufacturing facilities in 14 states. Green Bay Packaging is headquartered in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
