About

Qundis Management GmbH (“Qundis” or the “Company”), a portfolio company of Capcellence, was recently acquired by HgCapital. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Qundis is one of Europe’s leading providers of a comprehensive and integrated range of submetering solutions. Qundis’ customer base includes international building technology companies and metering service providers with installations in approximately five million flats (apartments) and offices across Europe. The Company’s solutions are used in multi-unit residential buildings to measure, collect and transmit consumption data for heating and water at the level of the individual apartment (so-called submetering). Headquartered in Mühlhausen, Germany, the Company has approximately 220 employees. Alongside Qundis’ market leading position in Germany, the Company has extensive distribution in Italy with further coverage in Slovenia, the Czech Republic, France, Turkey and Russia.

Capcellence is an independent equity investor based in Hamburg, Germany. Capcellence invests in medium sized companies with an established long-term strategy in the German, Austrian and Swiss regions. Capcellence currently has equity funds of approximately €170 million.

HgCapital is a private equity company with offices in London and Munich. HgCapital has over £3.4 billion of assets under management and has completed over 150 transactions since inception.
