edif Group (“edif”), a portfolio company of Phoenix Equity Partners (“Phoenix”), recently completed the acquisition of NDE Global Technical Services GmbH (“NDE”).

Based in Dusseldorf, Germany, NDE is a leading global provider of Vendor Inspection and Quality Assurance services to the Oil & Gas and Industrial markets. NDE’s range of services also includes expediting, project management, mill pipe surveillance and project staffing. NDE has an international network of offices across Europe (Germany and Italy), Asia Pacific (Singapore, China and Australia) and the USA. With over 50 full time staff and a comprehensive network of field inspectors, NDE is able to support customers on a global basis.

edif, based in London, UK, is focused on the building of a group of complementary businesses in the Industrial Testing, Inspection, Certification and Consultancy (“TICC”) sector. edif’s vision is to create a leading global provider of technical, quality and safety solutions to owners and operators of industrial plants, infrastructure and critical assets. The group’s first acquisition was the management buyout of the engineering consulting business of ERA Technology (“ERA”) from Cobham plc, in February 2011.

Founded in 2001, Phoenix is a leading UK middle market private equity firm that invests principally in UK-headquartered businesses valued at between £20 million and £200 million.
