Professional Testing Laboratory LLC Is Acquired by Intertek
Professional Testing Laboratory LLC (“PTL” or the “Company”) has been acquired by Intertek Group plc (“Intertek”), a global leader in Total Quality Assurance (TQA) solutions. Baird Business Owner Solutions served as exclusive financial advisor to PTL on this transaction.
Based in Dalton, Georgia, PTL is a market-leading provider of material and product testing services, leveraging accredited testing methods across flooring, textiles, automotive, consumer goods, and more. PTL’s expertise and reputation have made it a trusted partner to manufacturers, retailers, and innovators across the flooring sector.
Intertek, a London-based company with a network of more than 1,000 laboratories and offices in over 100 countries, is a Total Quality Assurance provider to a range of industries worldwide. The acquisition is highly complementary to Intertek’s leading TQA business in North America and will unlock strong commercial synergy opportunities, such as expanding PTL’s services to Intertek’s existing clients, including major retailers, while also capitalizing on Intertek’s existing capabilities in the USA to provide new services to PTL’s customer base.
