Baird Adds Veteran Advisor Robert Choy, Grows Wealth Management Presence in California

SANTA CLARA, CA (September 3, 2025) – Today, Baird, an employee-owned, international wealth management, asset management, investment banking/capital markets and private equity firm, announced that it has added Robert Choy as a Director and Financial Advisor to a new office opening in Santa Clara, California, located at 2445 Augustine Drive.   

In addition to Santa Clara, Baird has four private wealth management offices in the state in Grass Valley, Mill Valley (Marin County), Roseville, and Sacramento. The new office opening further bolsters Baird’s steadfast commitment to providing clients with the best financial advice and service.

We are excited to have Robert join the Baird family as we continue to expand our footprint in Northern California. This new office opening is another example of our efforts to serve local communities with best-in-class services and offerings.

Choy joins Baird from Edelman Financial Engines, where he managed $150 million in assets.  He has over 25 years of industry experience and in the past has worked for Fidelity Investments and Merrill Lynch. He holds Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Certified Private Wealth Advisor (CPWA®) designations and graduated from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa with a bachelor’s degree in architecture and a master’s degree in urban & regional planning. Outside of work, he is passionate about art and architecture.
