Boston, May 23, 2023 – Baird, an employee-owned, international financial services firm, announced today that Chad Bounds has joined the firm’s Global Investment Banking business as Director in its Global General Partnership (GP) Solutions Group. Bounds will work closely with Jeremy Duksin and Alex Mejia, Co-Heads of the GP Solutions Group and draw on his extensive secondary buyside experience and relationships to further strengthen Baird’s GP Solutions effort.

Baird’s GP Solutions Group advises GPs on accessing the secondary market and other flexible sources of capital to optimize their assets and portfolios. Baird is delivering the full suite of GP secondary market solutions in a highly integrated way with its financial sponsor coverage and industry team expertise.

Bounds joins Baird following five years at HarbourVest Partners where he was a Vice President in the firm’s Secondaries Group, specializing in single and multi-asset continuation fund and related GP-initiated transactions. While at HarbourVest, Bounds evaluated hundreds of GP Solutions investment opportunities and invested nearly $4 billion of equity over ten secondary transactions. Before HarbourVest Partners, Bounds began his career at Raymond James as a member of the firm’s Technology & Services investment banking group. He received a master’s in finance from Vanderbilt University and received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi.

“We are thrilled to welcome Chad to our Global GP Solutions team,” said Alex Mejia. “His buyside secondary market expertise, transaction experience and relationships give him a unique perspective that will strengthen our platform and allow us to provide top tier GP advisory solutions to our PE clients.”

“Baird is incredibly pleased to have gained such a skilled team member as part of our Global GP Solutions effort,” said Jeremy Duksin. “His experience and strong commitment to client service will complement our existing coverage and further our efforts in offering trusted, expert advice to our private equity clients.”

“I am excited to join Baird to help expand the GP Solutions Group,” said Bounds. “The opportunity to work closely with both Jeremy and Alex was very compelling given their deep experience.  As a premier global investment banking platform, I believe Baird is well-positioned to expand its presence in the GP-led secondaries market. I look forward to leveraging my experience on the investing side of the secondaries market to help complement the team’s existing advisory expertise and deliver a holistic market perspective to Baird’s GP clients.”
