As the COVID-19 pandemic unfolds, the team at Baird Advisors is focusing on a special cause each week to support front-line workers and the community with small acts of kindness.

One week the Milwaukee-based fixed income asset management business purchased meals from local restaurant Miss Molly’s Café in Wauwatosa to provide meals to healthcare workers. Another week, they helped Pathfinders, a local non-profit that serves youth in crisis, celebrate their 50th anniversary gala by hosting a virtual table helping the organization reach its $50,000 goal.

The program, named Baird Advisors Cares, is part of the team’s way of staying connected to their clients, to each other and that reflects their culture of servant leadership.  The business takes pride in its diverse workforce and for being a great place to work, so furthering its community-involvement efforts during this challenging time just made sense.

“We are so blessed. Through small acts of kindness each week, we brighten someone else’s world,” said Mary Ellen Stanek, Chief Investment Officer, Baird Advisors and President of Baird Funds.

Ideas bubble up from the team, family members and friends for future projects. “This effort provides perspective and allows us the chance to be part of the solution during this challenging time as needs have been increasing for so many organizations,” said Alice Ambrowiak, Baird Advisors Senior Vice President and one of the project’s co-chairs.

Baird Advisors Cares focuses on one organization each week, with associates also contributing to the effort, allowing for a larger impact.
