Baird Adds The Galbraith Group, Opens Sixth Wealth Management Office in Texas
ABILENE, Texas – Oct. 9, 2018 – Baird, an international, employee-owned wealth management, capital markets, private equity and asset management firm, today announced the addition of The Galbraith Group, to a new wealth management office in Abilene, Texas. The team includes Financial Advisors and Managing Directors, Gerald A. Galbraith and Cathie G. Coleman, CFP®. They are joined by Kay Hartgraves, Associate Financial Advisor, AAMS®, and Jackie Campbell, Senior Client Specialist.
Baird now has six private wealth management offices in the state of Texas, as well as an institutional equities and research office in Dallas and three public finance offices in Houston, San Antonio and Austin. The new office is located at 400 Pine Street in Abilene, approximately 150 miles west of Fort Worth.

Galbraith brings more than 50 years of experience in the industry to Baird. He is an active member of the Abilene community, currently serving as board member with the Big Country Hall of Fame and previously acting as President of Hospice of Abilene. He is currently in the Abilene Exchange Club and Speaker’s Club, and has also served in volunteer leadership positions with Abilene Chamber of Commerce, YMCA, Western Heritage Classic and United Way. Galbraith is a graduate of Texas Tech University and lives in Abilene with his wife, Christie.
Coleman joins Baird with 13 years of experience in the finance industry. She is a graduate of Georgetown University and then attended the MBA program at Southern Methodist University. Outside of the office, she serves on the scholarship committee with the Community Foundation of Abilene. She also volunteers with First Serve, a volunteer organization started by her son that teaches tennis and life skills to refugee children who have been relocated to Abilene by the International Rescue Committee. Coleman currently resides in Abilene with her husband, David.
