Gerald Slater joined Baird in 2015 as a senior quantitative analyst in the Public Finance department. Gerald's primary responsibilities include providing quantitative and analytical analysis for various State, County, City, School Districts, and Higher Education and Health Care Systems financings.

Before Baird, Gerald served, at Montague DeRose and Associates (MDA), as a quantitative specialist for bond sizing, development of issuer debt profiles, capital and financial cash flow models along with auditing developer capital financial models for the United States Department of Transportation on their TIFIA (Transportation Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act) loan program.

Prior to joining MDA, Gerald worked for the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) where he served as an investment analyst and portfolio manager. Gerald managed a $4 billion portfolio, managed the Clean Water State Revolving Fund and Drinking Water State Revolving Fund federal programs, determined the structures and pricing of TWDB bond issues, performed quarterly cash flow analysis, and developed spreadsheet template systems used by all financial analysts. In addition, he assisted in the development and implementation of the TWDB's financial database.

Before the TWDB, Gerald worked at Deloitte & Touche L.L.P. as a financial analyst.  He verified the cash flows of various types of municipal bond refundings and developed software to verify single-family and lease-to-own housing transactions. Mr. Slater received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Houston.
