Professional Experience & Education

For over 25 years, Jean advises industry-leading companies on M&As, corporate divestitures, financing and other corporate strategies. She has extensive experience working with companies that operate in a broad range of defense and government technology domains including electronic warfare, advanced weapon systems, space, cyber and digital transformation, among other market segments.

Jean’s transaction experience includes sell-side advisory, buy-side advisory and leveraged buy-outs for founder-owned businesses, private equity-owned companies and U.S. and international corporate divestitures. She has worked with some of the industry’s leading companies including Lockheed Martin, Leidos, Booz Allen Hamilton, Accenture and Boeing. She has closed transactions with private equity institutions including The Carlyle Group, Madison Dearborn, Veritas Capital and Arlington Capital Partners. Under her leadership, Baird’s Defense & Government team executed 52 transactions since 2022, valued at $26 billion.

Prior to joining Baird, Jean was a senior banker at Houlihan Lokey and a founding member of Houlihan Lokey’s Aerospace, Defense & Government Services Group. She is a frequent contributor to various publications including The Washington Post, Bloomberg, Reuters and The Wall Street Journal. 

Jean graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in economics from Duke University and studied at the London School of Economics.

Jean is a Board Member of the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) and Inova Health System.
