Ted Mortonson, Baird Tech Strategist

Ted Mortonson has covered the technology sector for three decades. His perspective combines years of cycle experience, data sets, industry checks and investor sentiment. He is one of the few tech strategists that sees all of tech and can gauge real time investor sentiment.

Ted rejoined Baird in 2019 as a Managing Director, Tech Strategist. Prior to joining Baird, Ted held numerous technology sales and management roles, most recently at Raymond James & Associates as a Managing Director of the Technology Sales Group. Other positions include Partner at Pacific Crest Securities, Senior Managing Director at the Royal Bank of Canada where he managed their Global Sales platform, and Partner at Wessels, Arnold and Henderson. Ted earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Naval Academy and post-graduation earned the designation of a Naval Aviator.  After three full naval deployments in the Far and Middle East, Mr. Mortonson served on the Joints Chiefs of Staff (J8 Directorate) in Washington DC.
