Jeffrey Johnson, Senior Research Analyst

Jeff Johnson is Baird’s Senior Research Analyst covering Medical Technology. In recent years, he has been recognized by TipRanks as one of the Top 5% of all Wall Street Analysts in 2024 and Top 10% in 2025 and he also been recognized in the StarMine Analyst Awards by Refinitiv as the No. 2 stock picker in Health Care Equipment & Supplies (2020). Jeff has also been named one of the Top 32 Most Influential People in Dentistry by Incisal Edge for six years running (from 2019-2024).  Prior to joining Baird in 2003, Jeff was an optometrist and the associate director of Refractive Surgery Services at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and earlier in his career held positions as an instructor of ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School and an adjunct-assistant professor of optometry at the New England College of Optometry. He received his MBA from Northwestern University, graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry, and did his undergraduate work at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
