Daniel Moore, Senior Research Analyst

Dan Moore is Baird’s senior analyst covering the Transportation and Logistics sectors, bringing nearly 30 years of experience in investment research and portfolio management.  He holds a BBA (BS) in Economics from the University of Arkansas, a Master of Science in Finance (MSF) from Georgetown University, and a law degree in Taxation from Washinton University in St. Louis. For the past two decades, he led one of the largest and most successful transportation-focused investment practices on Wall Street as a key member of Scopus Asset Management, joining as the fourth employee and playing an integral role in the firm’s growth from $60 million to $6.5B in AUM. In addition to transportation, his work has extended into related sectors including building materials, auto retail, and technology.

He is recognized for a distinctive research philosophy that separates high-conviction long-term investments from short-term tactical trades.
