Steven Scheerer, Managing Director, Analyst/Strategist

Steven Scheerer is a Managing Director and Fixed Income Portfolio Strategist at Baird, specializing in building customized technology solutions for the fixed income portfolio optimization process. Using data mining techniques, he discovers value within the MBS universe, helping clients to develop and execute a portfolio strategy. Steven was a portfolio analyst at RBC Capital Markets for nearly five years prior to joining Baird in 2009. Since then, he has been instrumental in constructing data management platforms and predictive models for the team to project prepayment behavior and identify portfolio risk factors

Steven holds both Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designations. He is a graduate of the Illinois Institute of Technology in Computer Engineering.
