Michael Schnetzer, Managing Director, Analyst/Strategist

Mike joined Baird fixed-income sales and trading in 2013. In his role as municipal strategist, he works with Baird’s traders, sales staff and public finance team in the areas of market analysis, portfolio strategy, and credit analysis. He has previous experience as a municipal bond trader focused on taxable municipal bonds. Prior to joining Baird, Mike worked at Nationwide Insurance and Huntington National Bank in portfolio and fund management. He is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati and holds the Chartered Market Technician and Chartered Financial Analyst designations and is also a member of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts. Outside of Baird, Mike is a three-term city councilman for the City of Gahanna, Ohio where he has served as the chairman of the finance committee for ten years. He has also served on the board for the CFA Society of Columbus and the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission reserve and investment advisory committee.
