Jay Ryan, Managing Director, Trader

Jay Ryan is a Managing Director and Head of Agency Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS) Trading within Baird’s Fixed Income Capital Markets division. In this leadership role, Jay oversees the firm’s agency MBS trading operations, including pass-throughs and TBA securities, managing risk, and delivering strategic execution for a wide range of institutional clients. Jay specializes in Agency CMOs and has over 15 years of structuring and mortgage trading experience. Prior to joining Baird in 2017, Jay spent eight years at Jefferies trading new issue & secondary CMOs. Jay began his career as an Agency MBS Trader at Lehman Brothers. Jay holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Ithaca College.
