Dan Holowaty, Director, Trader

Dan Holowaty is a Director and Non-Agency Mortgage Trader within Baird’s Fixed Income Capital Markets division. In this role, he is responsible for trading a broad range of non-agency mortgage-backed securities, including legacy RMBS, Prime 2.0, Non-QM, Residential Transition Loans, and Credit Risk Transfer (CRT) products. Dan also brings several years of experience trading asset-backed securities (ABS), including autos, student loans, transportation, and whole business ABS. He works closely with institutional clients, delivering customized investment solutions and actionable market insights.

Dan joined Baird in 2016, starting on the municipal underwriting desk before transitioning to the non-Agency RMBS trading desk with a focus on 2.0 RMBS products. Prior to Baird, he was an analyst at JPMorgan Private Bank.

He holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Leeds Beckett University and a Bachelor of Science in International Business from Rochester Institute of Technology. Dan is a CFA charterholder, earning the designation in 2019.
