Trusted Concepts, Inc. (“Trusted Concepts” or the "Company") has been acquired by Two Six Technologies (“Two Six”), a portfolio company of The Carlyle Group (NASDAQ: CG).
Trusted Concepts is a leading provider of software engineering, cyber, and advanced analytics solutions to customers in the Intelligence Community. Trusted Concepts is the developer of TrustedKeepTM, a proprietary, cloud-based security platform that provides object-level encryption to protect sensitive data at enterprise scale. Based in Herndon, Virginia, the Company has over 130 employees and more than 15 years of outstanding past performance in developing and operationalizing innovative solutions and capabilities in support of complex missions of national security.
Two Six’s acquisition of Trusted Concepts illustrates the following buyer priorities in Government & Defense M&A: (1) market priority for differentiated businesses delivering proprietary products and IP; (2) entrenched position within the Intelligence Community; (3) strong cultural alignment with highly cleared, technical talent base; and (4) continued focus of private equity-backed companies executing an inorganic growth strategy.
