John Bastian joined Baird in 2014 and is a Director in the Global Consumer Group advising on equity offerings, mergers and acquisitions and other financial advisory services. Since joining Baird in 2014, John has worked with numerous leading enthusiast outdoor and consumer technology focused companies including Beachbody, Careismatic Brands, Enve Wheels, Fox Factory, MasterCraft Boats, POC Sports, Simms Fishing, Wahoo Fitness and Yeti. Prior to joining Baird, John was a Manager in Grant Thornton’s Transaction Services practice where he led M&A Advisory and Financial Due Diligence engagements for private equity and corporate clients. John received a B.S. in finance and a B.S. in accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. John is a registered Certified Public Accountant.

Ryan Brunker is a Director in Baird’s Global Consumer Group where he provides transaction execution leadership and support on mergers and acquisitions, equity offerings and other financial advisory assignments with a focus on the multi-unit retail and restaurant sectors. Ryan’s most recent consumer & retail transaction experience includes clients such as Culver’s, Batteries Plus Bulbs, EbLens, Vera Bradley, Vince, Implus, San Jamar and Elmer’s. Ryan graduated from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University receiving a B.S. in Finance.

Glen Clarke is a Managing Director within Baird’s Consumer & Retail Group and leads the firm's Food & Beverage practice. Mr. Clarke is a senior investment banker with 22 years of significant transaction and advisory experience providing general corporate finance and M&A advice primarily to food and beverage companies across a variety of industry verticals and formats. Glen joined Baird from KeyBanc Capital Markets where he was a Managing Director in the Chicago office, leading the firm's Food & Beverage Investment Banking practice. Before joining KeyBanc, Glen spent time at Duff and Phelps and with Brown Gibbons and Lang (BGL), where he was a Managing Director and Principal responsible for heading up the firm's Food & Beverage investment banking practice. Prior to BGL, Glen spent 16 years at Bank of Montreal Harris Bank, where in his last role he was as a Managing Director and Head of the Diversified Food Group within Bank of Montreal's Investment Banking Group. Glen received his M.B.A. from DePaul University and his B.A. from Villanova University.

 

Scott Collins

Scott Collins joined Baird in 2007 and is a member of Baird’s Global Consumer Group with a focus on Consumer Products. Prior to Consumer, Scott was a member of Baird’s Global Industrial Group and also spent two years in London as part of Baird’s International M&A team. Scott has a wide range of cross-border experience providing execution leadership on M&A, equity offerings and other financial advisory services for publicly-traded, financial sponsor-owned and family-owned companies. Scott graduated, magna cum laude, from Vanderbilt University with a B.S. in Engineering and received his M.B.A. from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

 

Robert Foster

Robert Foster is a Managing Director on Baird’s Global Consumer Investment Banking team. Based in London, Robert leads Baird’s European Consumer Banking coverage. He joined Baird in 2021 from Jefferies where he was European Head of Consumer & Retail Investment Banking and led dozens of successful transactions in ecommerce, health & wellness, pet care, home, foodservice, consumer services, retail and luxury goods. He was also a member of Jefferies’ Global M&A Review Committee and Global Equity Review and Commitment Committee. Prior to Jefferies, he served as a senior investment banker and EMEA Head of Retail at Morgan Stanley after starting his investment banking career at UBS. Robert received a bachelor’s degree with honors from Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada and a master’s degree from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland.

Lauren Leibrandt is a Director in Baird’s Consumer Investment Banking group. She leads Baird’s Beauty & Wellness practice and actively works with companies across the spectrum of wellness-related pursuits with a specific focus on brands that empower the lives of female consumers. Since joining Baird in 2012, she has advised on numerous mergers and acquisitions, equity offerings and other financial advisory services. Prior to joining Baird, Lauren was with Deutsche Bank Investment Banking in New York. She began her career at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the Capital Markets division. Lauren graduated from Duke University receiving a B.S. in Economics and a B.A. in Spanish.

Andrew joined Baird’s Charlotte Investment Banking office in 2009, and focuses on capital markets and M&A advisory services in the Consumer sector, with particular focus in the branded consumer products, sports and leisure, footwear and apparel sectors. Prior to joining Baird and since 2003, he worked as a Director in the Consumer Mergers and Acquisitions practice for Wachovia where he executed numerous high profile assignments involving VF Corporation, Oakley, Bushnell, Shimano, Timberland, Volcom and Jarden. Additionally, Andrew was intricately involved with many prominent financial sponsors as they evaluated and effected transactions in similar sectors. From 2000 to 2003, Andrew was a member of the European Corporate Finance practice for Lehman Brothers in London. Andrew began his career at Merrill Lynch in their Global Capital Markets and Investment Banking program in New York. Andrew received his MBA from the Fuqua School at Duke University and his BS from Wake Forest University.

Satoshi is a Managing Director and Director of Japan M&A. In his role, Satoshi leads the firm's cross-border M&A origination and execution efforts involving Japanese companies, working across all of Baird's industry groups and geographies. During his career, Satoshi has successfully completed 50+ M&A transactions totaling over $20 billion in value, the vast majority of which are cross-border deals involving Japanese companies. Prior to joining Baird in 2012, Satoshi was a Managing Director at Barclays Capital. Prior to joining Barclays in 2009, he was a Managing Director at Nomura Securities, which had acquired Lehman Brothers' former Asian & European operations. Prior to Nomura, Satoshi spent 11 years at Lehman Brothers in Tokyo and New York. Prior to joining Lehman Brothers in 1997, Satoshi worked at Long-Term Credit Bank of Japan. Satoshi has a B.A. in Economics from Keio University, Tokyo.

Brian is a Managing Director and Co-Head of Baird's Global Investment Banking. In addition, he plays a senior banker role with many of Baird's key industrial clients and is Chairperson of the firm's Fairness Opinion Committee. Brian has over 25 years of experience in the global Mergers & Aquisitions market, through which he has developed extensive experience in originating and executing a broad range of strategic transactions for publicly traded, sponsor-owned and privately owned middle-market companies across a wide variety of industries.

Prior to joining Baird in 2008, Brian spent almost 13 years at Wachovia Securities in Charlotte, NC serving as Head of the Industrial Growth M&A Group and a member of the firm's Fairness Opinion Committee. He also spent over a decade in New York in the Global Mergers & Acquisitions Group of a predecessor firm to JPMorgan Chase, ultimately leading the origination and execution of domestic and cross-border advisory transactions with the firm's key industrial clients in his role as Co-Head of the Global Industrial M&A effort.

Brian received his undergraduate degree from Haverford College.

Boris Partin

Boris Partin joined Baird in July 2011, and is a member of Baird’s Europe Consumer Investment Banking group in London. Boris has significant experience in executing buyside and sellside M&A transactions across Europe, having worked with clients in the UK, Italy, Spain, the Nordics, and the Netherlands. During his time at Baird, Boris has worked across a variety of sectors, with a particular focus on Consumer, where he advised clients across several Consumer sector verticals. Boris holds an MBA degree from University of Cambridge (with honours) and a Bachelor degree from Southern Methodist University (with honours). Prior to Baird, Boris spent time in the US in the M&A advisory and PE roles.

Prior to joining Baird in 2000, Nick was with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom where he represented private equity funds and companies in connection with leveraged acquisitions and private financings. He has led numerous high-profile Consumer M&A transactions, and has won three "Consumer Deal of the Year" awards from M&A Advisor magazine. Nick has led transactions involving P&G, SC Johnson, Newell Brands, Bosch, GOJO (Purell®), Ames True Temper, Stanley Black & Decker, Igloo, Wilton, Corelle Brands and numerous consumer-focused private equity firms. He received his MBA and JD degrees from the University of Chicago and his BA degree from Haverford College.

Joe joined Baird's Charlotte Investment Banking office as Managing Director in 2008, and focuses on capital markets and M&A advisory services in the Consumer sector, with particular focus in retail, branded apparel, outdoor products and footwear segments.

Prior to joining Baird, he worked as Retail Group Head for Wachovia where, since 2003, he was responsible for the Retail and Soft Goods investment banking practice. From 2000 to 2003, Joe led the middle-market Consumer and Retail practice for Lehman Brothers, and from 1991 to 2000 he was a member of the Consumer and Retail group at Robertson Stephens. Since 1991, Joe has executed numerous high-profile investment banking transactions in the branded apparel and retail sectors, including Under Armour, North Face, VF Corporation, Spyder Active Sports, SmartWool Corporation, Volcom, Bushnell, Pure Fishing, Easton, Oakley Inc., and Zumiez. Prior to entering the investment banking industry, he spent seven years in the NFL, playing for the New York Jets and the Atlanta Falcons. Joe received his MBA from Columbia University and his BA from Harvard.

Rob Rosenfeld is a Managing Director within the Consumer Investment Banking team, focusing on branded consumer household, juvenile/toy and hygiene products – targeting products that are principally sold through big box, specialty retail or online. Rob provides strategic and analytical support on buy-side and sell-side acquisitions/divestitures, mergers, strategic alternatives, equity offerings and other financial advisory services. Prior to joining Baird, Rob was a Director in the Mergers & Acquisitions group for BMO Capital Markets in Chicago focusing principally on consumer, food and retail clients. His previous experience was in Consulting with Cap Gemini (formerly Ernst & Young) where he was a Senior Manager responsible for strategic and operational transformations for consumer and industrial organizations. Rob received his M.B.A. with honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a dual degree in Business (Marketing and Finance) and Liberal Arts (French) from Washington University in St. Louis.

Before joining Baird in 2005, Chris worked in the Investment Banking group at A.G. Edwards & Sons. Earlier, he worked in the Audit and Corporate Finance groups at KPMG. Chris received an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis and a BS in Accounting from Indiana University. He is a Certified Public Accountant.

Prior to joining Baird, Matthew was a Senior Associate in Merrill Lynch’s Mergers & Acquisitions Investment Banking practice. Previously he was an Associate in Citigroup’s Equity Research practice and a Manager in Ernst & Young’s Transaction Advisory Services practice where he performed M&A due diligence, restructuring and valuation assignments. Matthew received an M.B.A from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University with distinctions and a B.S. in accounting and marketing with high honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder through the CFA Institute and a recipient of the SGB 40 Under 40 award sponsored by SportsOneSource Group.
