Carrell joined Baird in 2019 with more than 30 years of experience in public school administration as an educator, principal, and district superintendent. His unique, firsthand understanding of school administration gives him an invaluable perspective in identifying school finance opportunities and solutions. Carrell received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts from Murray State University. He has served in several statewide capacities, including on the executive committee for the Council for Better Education, which studies the adequacy of funding for public school districts. Carrell also served on the Board of Control for the Kentucky High School Athletic Association for eight years.
