Texas is a target market for the firm and has been for over 35 years. Baird has made a concentrated effort in growing our Texas presence to support the unique needs of Texas issuers. Since opening our first Texas office in 1985 in Dallas, we have grown tremendously. Today, Baird has 12 offices in Texas and more than 135 professionals. Four of the twelve offices are public finance offices employing 20+ professionals specializing in Texas State Agencies and Authorities, Cities, Counties, Independent School Districts, and Special Districts.
