Empowering Public Fund Investors

Baird’s Public Funds Group Offers a Unique Approach

At Baird, we believe in providing public fund investors with not only investment solutions but also with a trusted partner rooted in education, collaboration, and stewardship. Our mission is clear: to share knowledge, build mindshare, and empower our clients to confidently implement investment strategies that align with their core philosophies and obligations.

Our Public Funds Group is dedicated to supporting public entities and corporate cash managers in navigating the complex world of fixed income investing, with a particular emphasis on principal preservation. We proudly serve a diverse range of clients, including cities, counties, joint power authorities, and state government portfolio managers who carry the significant fiduciary responsibility of managing public money.

A Unique Approach to Public Fund Investing

Public fund investors are stewards of taxpayer dollars. They must achieve sound investment returns and also maintain the safety, liquidity, and suitability of their portfolios. Baird’s Public Funds Group is uniquely positioned to aid these investors through a combination of expertise, hands-on education, and a commitment to transparency.

Rather than simply offering products to our clients, we prioritize educating on best practices, providing strategic insights, and helping make informed, independent decisions. Our team of seasoned professionals is deeply experienced in both public sector finance and fixed income markets, offering clients a rare blend of practitioner knowledge and analytical expertise.
