Jim Pavlik, Partner

Jim Pavlik joined Baird Capital's Venture Capital team in 2003 and currently oversees the firm’s investments in Appdetex, Datica, Hireology, NowSecure, OncoHealth, Strata Oncology, Upfront Healthcare and Vodori. He was also actively involved with the firm's prior investments in Cielo, Coalfire, emids, InsideTrack, Montage, PayChoice and Zaloni. Prior to joining Baird Capital, Jim was with Madison Dearborn Partners, where he focused on early stage venture capital investments in the telecom, media and technology services sectors. He began his career in Salomon Smith Barney’s investment banking group, where he was involved with a variety of equity and fixed income financings and M&A transactions. Jim received a B.A. in economics, summa cum laude, from Duke University and an MBA with distinction from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
