James Benfield, Partner

James Benfield is a Partner with Baird Capital based in London. James began his career as a civil engineer on major transport infrastructure projects in the U.K. before moving to finance with PricewaterhouseCoopers. He began working in private equity in 2000 before joining Baird Capital's U.K. Private Equity team in April 2002. James has worked with European industrial businesses across a variety of subsectors over the past 20 years and currently serves on the board of CAV Systems, Collingwood Lighting and eCube. James is a Chartered Accountant and holds a first-class Honours degree in engineering from the University of Leeds.
