Jayson Noland is Baird’s senior analyst covering IT Systems & Networking. Prior to joining Baird in 2005, he worked for technology firms in the Silicon Valley in engineering and business development roles. In both 2008 and 2009, he was included in The Wall Street Journal’s “Best on the Street” analyst rankings – Computers and Office Equipment. In 2009, he was designated as an Institutional Investor “Best Up and Comer” – IT Hardware. Jayson received a BS in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University and an MBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Chicago.

Tristan Gerra is the senior semiconductor component analyst and a director at Baird, joining in 2004. Tristan has 15 years of experience in equity research including nine years in semiconductor components. Tristan is currently responsible for the coverage of 16 large-cap and small-cap semiconductor companies. Prior to Baird, Tristan held analyst positions in the equity research departments of the Soundview Technology Group, Prudential Securities, Montgomery Securities, and Dean Witter Reynolds.

Steve Ashley is Baird’s senior analyst covering Software & Services. A financial analyst for 20 years, Steve joined Baird in 1996. Previously, he was an analyst with Cleary Gull Inc. and with Blunt, Ellis & Loewi, both in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. During his career, Steve has been named in The Wall Street Journal “All-Star Analysts’ Survey,” and highlighted as one of the NASDAQ-StarMine top analysts within the Internet Software & Services industry. He received a BBA in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and an MBA in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Wireless Communications

Will Power is Baird’s senior analyst covering Wireless Communications. Prior to joining Baird in 2000, he was a vice president with the investment banking firm of J.C. Bradford & Co., where he covered wireless telecommunications companies. Before that, Will was with Hoak Breedlove Wesneski & Co. in Dallas, where he held several positions, the most recent being wireless telecommunications analyst. Earlier, he was a senior trader with Fidelity Investments in Dallas. In 2005, StarMine ranked Will third in estimating earnings for Wireless Telecommunication Services, and he was selected among the Top Equity Analysts – Best Stock Pickers in the same category in 2003. In 2005, Will was ranked among the top five analysts in the “Best on the Street” survey by The Wall Street Journal for his work in the Telecommunications: Mobile sector. He is a four-time winner in the survey and among the top five analysts in the Telecommunications: Wireless category for 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005. He graduated with a BA cum laude from Tulane University.
