Jon A. Langenfeld, CFA
Head of Global Equities, Director of Equity Research

Jon Langenfeld is Head of Global Equities, Director of Equity Research for Robert W. Baird & Co. As Head of Global Equities, Jon is responsible for the Equity Sales, Trading and Research. He is Co-Head of Equity Capital Markets and a member of Baird's Executive Committee.

As the Director of Research, Jon has responsibilities for the equity analysts across all of Baird’s research sectors including Consumer, Energy, Financial Services, Healthcare, Industrial, and Technology & Business Services. Jon previously served as Senior Analyst covering Transportation/Logistics.  Prior to joining Baird in 2000, he was a senior manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Jon graduated cum laude with a BS in mechanical engineering and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame.

Craig R. Kennison, CFA
Director of Research Operations
Senior Research Analyst

Craig Kennison is Baird’s senior analyst covering Consumer & Auto Services as well as the Director of Research Operations. Prior to joining Baird in 1999, Craig worked in marketing and sales for the Eureka Company. In 2011, Craig was recognized among the “Best on the Street” by The Wall Street Journal in the Leisure Goods & Services sector. Craig also has been recognized by StarMine for the accuracy of earnings estimates in the Automotive sector. He earned Baird’s G. Frederick Kasten Jr. Award for Quality, Integrity, and Service in 2010 and is a United Way Tocqueville Society Member.

Craig received a BA in Economics, English, and Philosophy, and an MBA in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he is an alumnus of the Applied Security Analysis Program.

David E. Tarantino, CFA
Associate Director of Research
Senior Research Analyst

David Tarantino is Baird’s senior analyst covering Restaurants as well as the Associate Director of Research. Prior to joining Baird in 2003, he held a variety of positions in Brand Management and Product Development at The Procter & Gamble Company.

David received a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA with concentrations in Finance and Accounting from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.

Amy W. Junker
Associate Director of Research

Amy Junker is Baird’s Associate Director of Research and leads Baird's Corporate Access team. Amy previously served as the Senior Analyst covering Education Services. Prior to joining Baird in 2003, Amy was a junior analyst at Lehman Brothers, a research associate at William Blair & Company, an intern at Institutional Capital Corporation, and an associate instructor of mathematics at Indiana University. In 2007, StarMine ranked her among the top three for stock picking skills in Diversified Consumer Services. Amy received a BA in Mathematics from Kalamazoo College and an MA in Mathematics from Indiana University.

Timothy P. Byrne, CFA
Managing Director
Director of Research, Products, & Services, Private Wealth Management
Chief Information Officer, Baird

Tim Byrne is Director of Research, Products and Services for Baird’s Private Wealth Management business and is Chief Information Officer for the firm. His Private Wealth Management responsibilities include: money manager and mutual fund research; equity and fixed income portfolio consultation; financial and estate planning; and oversight of investment products and advisory services. As Chief Information Officer, Tim is responsible for Baird’s global IT investment and organization, including: network, application, and data infrastructure; application development and project management; end-user platforms; and technology support services.

Previously, Tim was Baird’s Senior IT Services Analyst in Equity Research. Prior to joining Baird in 2002, Tim was at Mercer Management Consulting, Inc., most recently as a partner in Mercer’s strategy group where he focused on high-tech industries and helped to launch Mercer’s digital strategy practice. Tim has an AB magna cum laude in Chemistry from the College of the Holy Cross and a MBA from Harvard Business School, and has earned his CFA charter.

Laura Thurow, CFA
Managing Director
Director of Private Wealth Management Research

Laura Thurow is Director of Private Wealth Management Research at Robert W. Baird & Co., where she is responsible for all research efforts focused on Private Wealth Management. This includes outside money manager and mutual fund research in support of the Recommended Manager and ALIGN programs, as well as individual stock, bond and ETF research and portfolio analysis.

She is co-portfolio manager of the ALIGN Strategic Portfolios, and a voting member of the Investment Policy, Manager & Policy, ALIGN, Mutual Fund, Structured Products and Managed Futures Oversight committees. Laura also works directly with Financial Advisors providing investment and sales strategy and consultation. Prior to joining Private Wealth Management Research, Laura spent five years as a member of Baird’s Auto & Truck Supplier Equity Research team.

Laura received a bachelor of arts degrees in Economics from Trinity College and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She has earned the CFA charter and is a member of the CFA Society of Milwaukee. Commentary from Laura has been featured in national, regional and trade media including The Wall Street Journal, USA Today and Worth.
