Baird Investment Banker Glen Clarke, who co-leads the firm’s global Food & Beverage franchise, was recently featured in WSJ Pro Private Equity about private equity firms’ increasing interest in ingredients companies:

“Ingredients companies are able to produce very strong margins,” said Glen Clarke, a managing director at investment bank Robert W. Baird & Co. who specializes in advising food and beverage companies. “People realize that ultimately, if you’re providing ingredients to a formulation, you’re a pretty low component to the overall cost of the product.”
