Baird Named One of UK’s Best Workplaces

LONDON, 28 April 2016 - Baird, an employee-owned, international financial services firm, was named as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces by the Great Place to Work® for a second year in a row. The firm ranked no. 22 in the Medium Category for 2016. The recognition, given annually, honours organisations with high trust, engagement and culture among its employees and leadership.

“We are honoured to, once again, be recognised as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces,” said Alexia Beattie, Baird’s Human Resources Director in Europe. “Appearing on the list, among so many other well regarded companies, is humbling. This honour affirms our ongoing commitment to being a best place to work and reflects the passion and care we show to each other and our clients every day.”

In addition to appearing on the UK’s Best Workplaces list for the past two years, Baird has been recognised for the past 13 years on FORTUNE magazine’s list of the 100 Best Companies to Work For in the U.S. This year, Baird ranked no. 6 on the list, its third consecutive year in the Top 10.

The Great Place to Work® Institute UK is part of the world's leading consultancy specialising in employee research and workplace cultures. The methodology used by Great Place to Work® to create the UK Best Workplaces list includes both an employee survey and an audit into the organisation’s management and HR practices. To be successful, participating organisations must achieve a high minimum score in their employee survey, a survey which measures the levels of trust and engagement in the organisation. The award also recognises the strength of leadership and the range of innovative, creative and effective HR policies to create its workplace culture.
