Baird Reduces Expenses on Four Equity Mutual Funds

MILWAUKEE, December 3, 2018 – Baird Funds today announced that its board has approved a reduction in net expenses for four of its equity funds effective December 1, 2018. Baird Equity Asset Management has always strived to provide investors the highest quality investment management expertise at reasonable fees.

 “We believe these changes will further benefit our investors who seek value added performance along with strong client service and reasonable fees. As part of the larger Baird organization we have the resources to hire and retain experienced investment professionals, as well as invest in technological and operational solutions that control the administrative expenses of our Funds,” said Reik Read, Managing Director, Baird Equity Asset Management.

Specific changes include:

  • Chautauqua International Growth Fund, (CCWIX/CCWSX), which invests primarily in a concentrated portfolio of equity securities of non-U.S. companies with medium to large market capitalizations, its expense ratios will change from 0.95% to 0.80% for the institutional share class and from 1.20% to 1.05% for the investor share class.
  • Chautauqua Global Growth Fund (CCGIX/CCGSX), invests primarily in a concentrated portfolio of equity securities of both U.S. and non-U.S. companies with medium to large market capitalizations, its expense ratios will change from 0.95% to 0.80% for the institutional share class and from 1.20% to 1.05% for the investor share class.
  • Baird Small/Mid Cap Value Fund (BMVIX/BMVSX), primarily invests in small- to medium-cap companies, typically defined as those with a market cap range of $300 million to $10 billion at time of purchase, its expense ratios will change from 0.95% to 0.85% for the institutional share class and from 1.20% to 1.10% for the investor share class.
  • Baird SmallCap Value Fund (BSVIX/BSVSX), primarily invests in small-cap companies, typically defined as those with a market cap range of $100 million to $2.5 billion at time of purchase, its expense ratios will change from 1.00% to 0.95% for the institutional share class and from 1.25% to 1.20% for the investor share class.

No changes will be made to the expense ratios of the Baird MidCap Fund and the newly launched Baird Small Mid/Cap Growth Fund as these funds are already priced in line with the firm’s objectives.
