Brian Doyal is Co-Head of Baird’s Global Investment Banking business where he jointly oversees the firm’s global corporate finance and M∓A activities. In addition, Brian is Head of Baird’s Healthcare Investment Banking team and is a member of Baird’s Investment Banking Management Committee. Previously, Brian was the Head of Services and Healthcare Investment Banking at Baird, covering a wide range of services sectors, including BPO, Customer Care, Human Capital, Information and Professional Services.

Before joining Baird in 2004, Brian worked 14 years at Credit Suisse First Boston where he was co-head of the Global Services group. From 1992 to 1994, Brian worked for the Corporate Finance group of General Electric Capital Corporation, where he was responsible for making equity investments and loans to highly leveraged companies.

Brian received a BA in Economics from Northwestern University and an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Brian McDonagh is Co-Head of Baird’s Global Investment Banking business where he jointly oversees the firm’s global corporate finance and Mergers & Acquisitions activities. In addition, Brian is Co-Head of the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions practice, playing a senior role on many transactions involving Baird's key banking clients. He is Chairperson of the Baird's Fairness Opinion Committee.

Brian has over 25 years of experience in the global M&A market, through which he has developed extensive experience in originating and executing a broad range of strategic transactions for publicly traded, sponsor-owned and privately owned middle market companies across a wide variety of industries.

Prior to joining Baird in 2008, Brian spent almost 13 years at Wachovia Securities in Charlotte, NC, serving as Head of the Industrial Growth M&A Group and a member of the firm's Fairness Opinion Committee. He also spent over a decade in New York in the Global Mergers & Acquisitions Group of a predecessor firm to JPMorgan Chase, ultimately leading the origination and execution of domestic and cross-border advisory transactions with the firm's key industrial clients in his role as Co-Head of the Global Industrial M&A effort.

Justin is a Managing Director in Baird's Global Industrial Group and has coverage responsibility for the global packaging industry. Justin’s investment banking experience covers a range of products, including mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets, high yield debt and leveraged lending. Justin has advised on nearly 70 transactions involving a variety of publicly traded, sponsor-owned and privately owned companies within a number of different industries, including over 30 transactions totaling more than $8 billion in transaction value in the packaging sector. Prior to joining Baird in 2003, Justin was with Deutsche Bank Securities for nearly five years where he worked on numerous M&A and financing transactions primarily in the industrial sector. He received his MBA degree from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and graduated with a BA degree in Economics from Haverford College.

Dan joined Baird in 2004 and is a Managing Director in the Business Services Group. Prior to joining Baird, he spent six years in valuation advisory and strategy consulting at A.T. Kearney and McKinsey & Co. covering the retail and consumer services sectors. Previously, he worked for a real estate and transaction advisory firm providing financial structuring and advisory services. Dan received his MBA degree from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and a BBA with highest distinction in Real Estate and Finance from the University of Michigan Business School.

Nick Alfermann joined Baird’s Energy Investment Banking team in July 2010 and has 10 years of investment banking and capital markets experience. Previously, Nick had been with Highland Capital Management, a hedge fund and asset manager in Dallas, TX, where he helped manage a $2 billion portfolio of public and private energy investments, spanning the entire capital structure. Prior to Highland, Nick worked as an investment banker in the energy group at A.G. Edwards where he focused primarily on capital raising and financial advisory services to E&P companies and master limited partnerships (MLPs). Nick received a BBA degree in Finance and Economics from the University of Notre Dame.

Ben Brown is a member of Baird’s Healthcare Services Investment Banking team.  Since joining Baird in 2005, Ben has executed M&A and equity transactions for healthcare clients across several verticals, including healthcare IT, payer & provider services and pharma services.  In addition, Ben has extensive experience working with clients in the consulting and human capital sectors.  Prior to joining Baird, Ben was a member of Thomas Weisel Partners’ Technology Investment Banking Group in San Francisco, where he focused on clients in the software industry.  Before joining TWP, Ben worked as an Associate at The Halifax Group, a middle-market private equity fund.  Prior to his time in the private equity industry, Ben was an Associate at Growth Capital Partners, a boutique investment bank, and began his career as an Analyst with Prudential Capital Group. Ben received an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a B.B.A. in Finance, cum laude, from Southern Methodist University.

Glen joined Baird from KeyBanc Capital Markets where he was a Managing Director in the Chicago office, leading the firm's Food & Beverage Investment Banking practice. Before joining KeyBanc, Glen spent time at Duff and Phelps and with Brown Gibbons and Lang (BGL), where he was a Managing Director and Principal responsible for heading up the firm's Food & Beverage investment banking practice. Prior to BGL, Glen spent 16 years at Bank of Montreal Harris Bank, where in his last role he was as a Managing Director and Head of the Diversified Food Group within Bank of Montreal's Investment Banking Group. Since joining Baird in 1994, Chris has provided financing and advisory services to companies in the Business Services, Telecommunications, Consumer and Industrial sectors.

He was previously a Vice President with the Kidder, Peabody & Co. Midwest investment banking group. Chris received his MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and holds a Bachelor of Honors in Financial Management and Commerce from the University of Cape Town.

He is also a Chartered Accountant and a Certified Public Accountant, and has six years of experience in public accounting with Grant Thornton in the United States and Ernst & Whinney in South Africa

Steven joined Baird in 2011 from FBR Capital Markets, where he was Global Head of Real Estate Investment Banking. Steve has in excess of 20 years of investment banking experience. During that time, he has overseen a variety of transactions including numerous initial public offerings, 144A private placements, perpetual preferred offerings, corporate bond and convert offerings, merger and acquisition advisories, asset-level joint ventures, private placements and general financial advisory. During his career, Steve has advised on more than $15 billion of total transaction volume. Steve has held senior banking positions with FBR Capital Markets, Lehman Brothers and CIBC World Markets. He received a BS in Finance from the University of Connecticut.

Curtis joined Baird in 2010. Previously, he had been with A.G. Edwards since 1995 and joined Wachovia Securities upon its acquisition of A.G. Edwards in October 2007 and Wells Fargo Securities upon its acquisition of Wachovia in 2008. During his tenure at A.G. Edwards, Curtis co-founded the firm's Oil & Gas Investment Banking practice, helping to grow it into one of the most active on Wall Street in terms of both transactions managed and dollars raised. He primarily focuses on providing capital raising and financial advisory services to E&P companies and master limited partnerships (MLPs).

Prior to joining A.G. Edwards, Curtis worked in the corporate finance departments of both Lehman Brothers and Salomon Brothers. Curtis holds an MBA from the University of Chicago, with concentrations in finance, accounting and economics, and a BS degree in finance from Indiana University.

In his 20+ years at Baird, Peter has held several leadership positions, including Co-Head of Equity Capital Markets, Chairman of the Investment Banking and firm-wide Recruiting Committees, member of the Investment Committee of the Baird Venture Fund and a Director of the Baird Foundation. He has built and led several investment banking industry teams and has extensive experience in originating and executing mergers, acquisitions and equity transactions across a wide range of industries. He is a member of the Investment Banking Management Committee and Chairman of the Equity Capital Markets Committee.

Prior to joining Baird in 1992, Peter was a Director of Investments for The Equitable and on the Executive Staff of Governor Tommy Thompson. Peter received his BBA and MS from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is a member of the University of Wisconsin Foundation Board of Directors.

Jason was a founding member of Baird's M&A team in Europe and was based in Baird's London office for five years.

Jason received an MBA from the University of Cambridge, where he was a Gates Cambridge Scholar, and graduated with a BS degree in Finance, with highest honors, from the University of Florida.

Lance Lange is a Managing Director in Baird’s Equity Capital Markets group and leads the firm’s effort to advise healthcare clients on all aspects of the capital raising process.  He is responsible for the origination and execution of all equity transactions, including bought, publicly marketed and confidentially marketed transactions.  Prior to his current role, he led the equity capital markets practice for the industrials sector.  He joined Baird from Lazard Frères & Co. where he was Head of Industrials for ECM and was responsible for capital markets origination, execution and advisory for U.S. listed companies.  Lance is a member of Baird’s Capital Commitments Committee; and, over the course of his career, has completed hundreds of financings and advisory assignments for clients in the healthcare, industrial and business services sectors.  Lance began his career at Merrill Lynch.  He received a BA in Economics and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a J.D. from Marquette University Law School.

Tom joined Baird in 1996, and is the leader of the Distribution team within Baird’s investment banking group. Prior to joining Baird, he was a partner in the securities and mergers and acquisitions practice of the law firm of Foley & Lardner. Tom graduated, magna cum laude, from Notre Dame Law School, and received a BBA degree with a concentration in Accounting, cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame. Howard Lanser is a Managing Director in Baird's Mergers & Acquisitions group.  He heads the firm’s Debt Advisory Group and also serves as a senior M&A execution specialist.  Howard has over 19 years of experience originating and executing financing and M&A advisory assignments in a diverse range of industry sectors including industrial, consumer products, for-profit education, corporate training, human capital services, and healthcare services.  His clients have ranged from public multinational corporations to private, growth-oriented middle-market firms. 

Prior to Baird, Howard was an Associate in the investment banking departments of Credit Suisse First Boston and Merrill Lynch and a Financial Analyst at Morgan Stanley.  Howard received an M.B.A. with honors from The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.  He also graduated Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude from the University of Notre Dame where he received a B.A. in history and German.

Matthew is a Director in Baird’s Consumer Investment Banking practice where he focuses on equity offerings, mergers and acquisitions and other financial advisory services. Since joining Baird in July 2009, Mr. Tingler has advised on several transactions, including the sale of Augusta Sportswear to Kelso & Company, the sale of Implus Corporation to Trilantic Capital Partners and the sale of Strategic Partners to BAML Capital Partners, as well as the initial public offerings of Ignite Restaurant Group and Chuy’s. Prior to joining Baird, Mr. Tingler was an Associate in Merrill Lynch’s Mergers & Acquisition Investment Banking practice. Previously he was an Associate in Citigroup’s Equity Research practice and a Manager in Ernst & Young’s Corporate Finance practice where he performed valuation, M&A due diligence and restructuring assignments. Mr. Tingler received an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a BS in accounting and marketing with high honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder through the CFA Institute.

Maria Watts is a Director in Baird’s Consumer Group. She primarily focuses on mergers and acquisitions and equity offerings. Maria has advised a number of branded consumer companies in the retail and apparel, footwear & accessory sectors, including adidas Group, Ashley Stewart, Batteries Plus Bulbs, Black Diamond, CamelBak, Vera Bradley, Vince and Wolverine WorldWide. She began her career as an analyst at Stephens Inc. During her career, Maria has successfully completed more than 30 transactions totaling over $20.0 billion in value. Maria received her M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and graduated with honors from Centenary College of Louisiana with a B.S. in Business and Spanish.

David is a Managing Director in Baird's Financial Sponsors Group. Since joining Baird in 1995, David has participated in a wide variety of advisory assignments representing both buyers and sellers of public and private companies. In addition, David has executed numerous public and private debt and equity financings.

Before joining Baird, he spent five years at Coopers & Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers), primarily focused on Corporate Finance and mergers and acquisitions advisory assignments. David received a BS magna cum laude in Accounting from Valparaiso University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Ross joined Baird in 1998 and is a member of the Business Services group. Since joining the firm, he has participated in numerous equity offerings, mergers and acquisitions and other financial advisory services in roles of increasing responsibility. Recent transaction experience includes the sale of a school bus operator to Macquarie, the sale of Financial Dynamics to FTI Consulting and equity financings for RSC Equipment Rental and Williams Scotsman.

Ross received his MBA with distinction from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and his BA with honors from the University of Wisconsin, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa.

Chris Wofford is a Managing Director and senior member of Baird’s Global Investment Banking team. With more than 25 years of banking experience, he oversees the business’ Transportation and Logistics coverage. Chris joined Baird in 2016 from Macquarie Capital (USA), Inc. where he was a Managing Director and Head of the firm’s Transportation, Logistics & Supply Chain practice. In this role, he executed some of Macquarie Capital USA’s largest recent U.S. and cross-border M&A transactions. Chris was previously the Global Head of Transportation & Logistics at Bank of America Securities Corporation and, prior to that, he was a senior M&A banker at both Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. He received a BA in history from Oberlin College and an MBA from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago.
