Joel is the Co-Head of Baird's Industrial Group and his transaction activity is focused primarily on the Industrial Technology sector. He is also a member of Baird's Fairness Opinion Committee. Joel provides mergers and acquisition and other financial advisory services to clients in a variety of industrial technology verticals, including Test & Measurement Instrumentation and Sensors, Automation Solutions and Testing/Tech-enabled services and software.

Before joining Baird in 1994, Joel was a member of the Kidder, Peabody & Co. Investment Banking Group. He received his MBA with high honors from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, and holds a BS in Applied Mathematics and Economics from Brown University.

Joe is Co-Head of Baird's Industrial Group. He has worked in investment banking for nearly 20 years and has executed approximately 100 equity and debt financings and M&A transactions. Joe has deep expertise in public and private company transactions and strategic advisory assignments within the global industrial technology sector, including sub-sector expertise in: process and flow control, capital equipment, energy equipment and other related markets. Joe manages key client relationships in North America, Europe and Asia, and his experience includes advising on numerous cross-border transactions.

Prior to joining Baird, Joe was an accountant at Deloitte and Touche, LLP, where he provided audit and advisory services. He received an MBA, with honors, from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a BS degree in Accounting from Marquette University. Joe is very active in the community, including current and past involvement at Marquette University High School, St. Anthony on the Lake Parish and The Parenting Network.

Justin is a Managing Director in Baird's Global Industrial Group and has coverage responsibility for the global packaging industry. Justin’s investment banking experience covers a range of products, including mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets, high yield debt and leveraged lending. Justin has advised on over 60 transactions involving a variety of publicly traded, sponsor-owned and privately owned companies within a number of different industries, including 25 transactions totaling over $7 billion in transaction value in the packaging sector. Prior to joining Baird in 2003, Justin was with Deutsche Bank Securities for nearly five years where he worked on numerous M&A and financing transactions primarily in the industrial sector. He received his MBA degree from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and graduated with a BA degree in Economics from Haverford College

Alex Ballantine

Alex Ballantine joined Baird in 2013, having previously worked as an M&A Vice President at Hawkpoint in London. Throughout his career in M&A, Alex has worked on a number of transaction assignments on the sell and buy-side for private equity, entrepreneur and public company clients. Recent successful assignments on which Alex has worked include advising TBG on the sale of SIHI to Flowserve, advising Waterlogic on its sale to Castik Capital, advising Montagu Private Equity on the sale of Unifeeder to Nordic Capital, advising the College of Law on the sale of its legal education business to Montagu Private Equity and advising the board of Psion Plc on its sale to Motorola Solutions, Inc. Prior to Hawkpoint, Alex worked in the M&A team at ING Bank in London, which he joined after graduating from Cornell University in the United States.

Before joining Baird in 2008, Joachim was managing partner at two Frankfurt-based investment banking firms, Drueker & Co. from 1997 to 2005 and at Doertenbach & Co. He has advised German and international clients on merger and acquisition transactions, initial public offerings and delistings. Joachim has lived and worked in the U.S. for many years. As an executive for General Motors, he was responsible for acquisitions and divestitures, both in the U.S. and internationally. From 1993 to 1997 he was Chief Financial Officer of Linde AG. Joachim graduated as an engineer from Darmstadt Technical University and holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School.

Chris joined Baird's Industrial Investment Banking practice in 2004 and assists in public and private equity financings, merger and acquisition assignments, and other financial advisory services for clients in a number of industries.

Prior to joining Baird, Chris was in investment banking at A.G. Edwards & Sons, Inc., where he provided analytical support on transactions primarily in the Energy sector. He received his MBA, with honors, from the University of Chicago. Prior to attending graduate school, Chris worked in various capacities at ABN Amro and LaSalle Bank. He received his BBA from the University of Notre Dame.

Julien Darmon is a Managing Director in Baird’s European Investment Banking group in London and focuses on the Industrial sector. Julien rejoined Baird in 2015 from Harris Williams where he was a Managing Director in the firm’s London office. Julien established his investment banking career at Baird in London, joining as an Associate in 1999 and later working from Baird’s Chicago office for three years before returning to the London office in 2005. He has a BA in Accounting and Economics from Tel Aviv University and an MBA from Cass Business School, London.

Jon Fitzsimmons joined Baird in 2004 and currently serves as a Director with Baird’s industrial investment banking group in Milwaukee. Jon has a wide range of experience in working with private equity firms and multi-national industrial companies on sell-side, buy-side and financing transactions. He also completed a two-year secondment with Baird’s international M&A group in London, where he worked on transactions in England, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands. Jon received a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Wisconsin, and an M.B.A. from the MIT Sloan School of Management, where he was a Baird Scholar.

Vinay is a Managing Director in Baird's Financial Sponsor Group, focusing on managing relationships with the European sponsor community, as well as a member of Baird's Global Industrial Investment Banking Team. Vinay joined Baird in 2011, bringing extensive experience in acquisitions, disposals and capital raisings for both private equity and public companies across the Consumer, Services, Healthcare and Industrials sectors.

Prior to joining Baird, Vinay spent fourteen years at Hawkpoint, Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Bank. Vinay has a first class degree from Imperial College in London and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.

Steve is a Managing Director in Baird’s Industrial Investment Banking practice and joined Baird in 2000. Over his career, Steve has advised on a variety of mergers and acquisitions and financings, for public, private equity and family owned businesses serving most sectors of the global economy. In particular, Steve has completed 27 transactions totaling nearly $6.0 billion in the filtration industry. Before joining Baird, Steve was a Vice President at Tucker Anthony. Prior to graduate business school, he provided corporate tax and other advisory services for Price Waterhouse (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers). Steve earned an MBA with distinction from the University of Michigan Business School and graduated with a BA in English Language and Literature from the University of Virginia. He also currently serves on the board of trustees of the University School of Milwaukee.

Sven Harmsen

Prior to joining Baird's International M&A team, Dr. Sven Harmsen spent several years with Drueker & Co./Leonardo & Co. in their German M&A team. He worked on several international buy-, sell-side and carve-out transactions and gained experience across a wide range of industries, especially in the industrials/capital goods industry. Dr. Harmsen graduated with a Diploma in Industrial Engineering and Management from Technical University of Berlin, a Master's Degree in Management Studies from Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada and completed his Doctorate degree at Humboldt University, Berlin.

Jason joined Baird in 1998, and is a member of the Distribution team within Baird's Global Industrial Investment Banking group. Since 2004, Baird has completed ~70 M&A advisory and fundraising transactions for distribution clients, including public companies, privately held businesses and private equity sponsors, representing over $23 billion. Jason has extensive M&A and capital markets experience working with distribution clients on both sides of the Atlantic. Jason was a founder member of Baird's M&A team in Europe and was based in Baird's London office for five years. Jason received an MBA from the University of Cambridge, where he was a Gates Cambridge Scholar, and graduated with a BS degree in Finance, with highest honors, from the University of Florida.

Tom joined Baird in 1996, and is the leader of the Distribution team within Baird’s Global Industrial Investment Banking group. Since 2004, Baird has completed ~70 M&A advisory and fundraising transactions for distribution clients, including public companies, privately held businesses and private equity sponsors, representing over $23 billion. Prior to joining Baird, he was a partner in the securities and mergers and acquisitions practice of the law firm of Foley & Lardner. He is a member of the State Bar of Florida, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Tom graduated, magna cum laude, from Notre Dame Law School, and received a BBA degree with a concentration in Accounting, cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame. He began his career in the Chicago office of Ernst & Whinney.

Mr. Lindemann has extensive experience executing public and private company transactions within the industrial technology, mobile equipment and diversified industrials sectors. During 2007, Mike served in Baird’s London and Frankfurt offices as a member of Baird’s International M&A team. Mike graduated from Bates College with a B.A. in Economics and received his M.B.A., with distinction, from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth where he was an Edward Tuck Scholar. Mike serves on the Board of Directors and as Treasurer of the Pettit National Ice Center.

Chris joined Baird in May 2002. He is Head of Baird's Global Mergers & Acquisitions activities and a member of the firm's Investment Banking Management Committee, as well as the M&A Fairness Opinion Committee. Chris has 27 years of investment banking experience. Prior to joining Baird, he was a Managing Director in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB), which he joined as part of CSFB's November 2000 acquisition of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ). At DLJ, Chris was a Managing Director in DLJ’s Mergers & Acquisitions Group. Chris received his MBA from the University of Chicago and his BS degree from Babson College. He is a member of The Economic Club of Chicago and a member of the Board of Overseers at Babson College.

Before joining Baird, Trish spent six years with Arthur Andersen, where she provided business, tax advisory and consulting services. She received her MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and graduated with a BBA in Accounting and Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Paul Rogalski joined Baird in 1995 and serves as the Vice Chairman of Global Investment Banking. For 20 years, Paul headed the Global Industrial Investment Banking Group at Baird. Paul has more than 30 years of Investment Banking experience and has been involved in a wide variety of financing and M&A transactions. Before joining Baird, he was a Partner at Vector Securities International. Earlier, he was a Senior Vice President in the Investment Banking group at Kidder, Peabody & Co. in Chicago. He received an MBA with distinction from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and his JD cum laude from Northwestern’s School of Law. He earned his undergraduate degree with high honors from the University of Notre Dame.

David Schreiter joined Baird in 2010. While at Baird he has advised on numerous transactions, primarily but not exclusively, in the DACH region. His transaction experience is extensive, ranging across the industrial, consumer, business services and distribution sectors. Prior to joining Baird, David gained significant experience in corporate finance while working for Raiffeisen Investment’s Energy & Utilities Team in exclusive cooperation with Lazard. There he focused predominantly on M&A transactions with particular emphasis on the power and utilities sectors in Central and Eastern Europe. David graduated in Investment Banking and Finance, Risk Management and Insurance as well as Public Utility Management at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration.

Nicholas qualified as a chartered accountant with Peat Marwick in South Africa. He spent 10 years at Barings in domestic and international corporate finance (North America and South Africa) and capital markets. Nicholas joined Baird in 1996, became a Director in 1998, a Managing Director in 2003 and co-head of European Investment Banking in 2004.

He has wide experience in company sales and acquisitions, public offers, bid defenses and capital raisings. Nicholas focuses on Industrial and Consumer mergers and acquisitions, working with clients in both North America and Europe.

Anthony also previously worked at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and Schroders where he was involved in a variety of M&A and capital market transactions. Anthony received his Executive MBA degree from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). Before Michael joined Baird in 2003, he worked for Deutsche Bank in Frankfurt for nine years, primarily executing public and private merger and acquisition transactions. At Deutsche Bank, he focused on Chemicals, Automotive, Industrials and private equity transactions. Michael completed transactions involving German, European and U.S. private and public companies as well as private equity firms and their portfolio companies.

Earlier, Michael worked at Roland Berger Management Consultants and Arthur Andersen & Co. He graduated as a Diplom-Kaufmann from the University of Bayreuth and holds an MBA with high distinction from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.
