Help - Clear Cache

The “cache” is a directory on your hard drive that your browser uses to store pages you have visited so that next time you visit, those pages will load faster. When the cache fills up, performance can slow down or you may experience other problems. It’s a good habit to clear your cache from time to time.

Firefox 2.0.0.7 and 2.0.0.12

Internet Explorer 7

  1. Click on the Tools menu at the top.
  2. Select Internet Option
  3. The “General” tab should already be selected.
  4. Under the “General” tab you should find “Browser history”.
  5. Click on the “Delete” button, a “Delete Browser History” box will popup.
  6. Click on “Delete cookies” button, a “Delete Cookies” box will popup.
  7. Click “Yes”
  8. Click “Close”
  9. Click “OK”
Internet Explorer 5.x and 6.x

  1. Click on the Tools menu at the top
  2. Select Internet Options
  3. Click on the General tab
  4. Click on the “Delete Files” button; Do Not click on the Delete Cookies button
  5. A dialog box called Delete Files will popup.
  6. Click the “OK” button to delete the cache
  7. Once the popup box disappears click the “OK” button on Internet Options

America Online (AOL) 6.x / 7.x / 8.x

  1. Go to Settings menu and select Preferences
  2. Within Organization, click Internet Properties WWW
  3. Select the General tab
  4. Within Temporary Internet Files, choose the Delete Files button
  5. Click "OK"
America Online (AOL) 5.x

  1. Go to the My AOL menu and select Preferences
  2. Click the WWW button, then the General tab
  3. Within Temporary Internet Files, choose the Delete Files button
  4. Click "OK"

Firefox 2.0.0.7 and 2.0.0.12

  1. Click on the Tools menu at the top
  2. Select Options
  3. Click on Advanced
  4. Click on the Network tab
  5. Click on the "Clear Now" button (No additional box will come up when the cache is cleared)
  6. Click on "OK"
