Protecting Yourself During A Job Search

Baird’s Human Capital Department contacts career applicants directly via phone or email, never via text, instant message or online chat. If you have been contacted by anyone claiming to be a potential employer, particularly one where you have not applied for employment, be aware that scammers have been known to pose as employers and use job offers to solicit personal information or otherwise defraud unsuspecting job seekers.

For your protection, please remember:

  • Never respond to unsolicited offers of employment from people you don’t know or whose identity you cannot verify.
  • Never provide personal or financial information to anyone you do not know.
  • Never send someone money to further an employment prospect. Employers do not request money in connection with job offers.
  • Never agree to participate in a job interview via an online chat session.

If you receive unsolicited inquiries regarding employment opportunities with Robert W. Baird & Co., please let us know by emailing jobs@rwbaird.com
