Spheros Management Holding GmbH (“Spheros” or the “Company”), a portfolio company of Baird Capital Partners Europe and CAPCELLENCE, recently completed its sale to Deutsche Beteiligungs AG (“DBAG”) (DB:DBA).

Spheros is one of the world’s leading developers and manufacturers of air-conditioning systems, engine-independent heating systems, water pumps and roof hatches for buses. Spheros is present in all major bus markets worldwide. The Company’s head office is in Gilching, Germany, which is located near Munich.

Deutsche Beteiligungs AG is a leading publicly listed private equity company. With a track record of 45 years, DBAG is the oldest private equity firm in Germany. Currently, DBAG has approximately €900 million of assets under management.

Baird Capital Partners Europe is the U.K.-based buyout firm of Baird Private Equity. Baird Capital Partners Europe provides capital to lower middle-market companies in the Business Services, Manufactured Products and Healthcare sectors based in the UK.

CAPCELLENCE is an independent, partner owned medium to long-term entrepreneurial investor, exclusively focused on established, medium-sized companies in German speaking countries. Due to its evergreen structure with a minimum investment horizon of 20 years, CAPCELLENCE can follow a long-term investment strategy without exit pressure.
